The 7 Fingers’ Acclaimed Acrobatic Love Letter to San Francisco Marks Its Fifth Anniversary This October

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, UNITED STATES, September 17, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Five years, more than 1,400 performances, 180,000 locals and visitors, and countless breathtaking moments later, Dear San Francisco is still flying high!

This October, Club Fugazi celebrates the fifth anniversary of Dear San Francisco, the critically acclaimed resident production from internationally renowned contemporary circus collective The 7 Fingers. Since opening in October 2021, the intimate, exhilarating production has become an only-in-San-Francisco theatrical experience, welcoming audiences from around the Bay Area and across the globe to historic Club Fugazi in the heart of San Francisco’s North Beach.

Created by Bay Area natives and The 7 Fingers co-founders Shana Carroll and Gypsy Snider, Dear San Francisco brings the spirit of the City by the Bay to life through breathtaking aerial acts, gravity-defying feats, heartfelt storytelling, and festive surprises all performed by a cast of internationally acclaimed artists.

“When we opened in the middle of the pandemic, there was no telling how long we would be here,” said Club Fugazi Executive Director David Dower. “But those early audiences kept coming back, and talking about it, and writing about it online and we kept growing. While the extraordinary talents of the more than 50 different 7 Fingers acrobats who’ve done this show over the first five years has sustained us, the real secret sauce has been Bay Area audiences. It is a joy and a privilege to be the stewards of this beloved venue, delivering this love letter to our city seven times a week for locals and visitors of every age. Five years in, we continue to be overwhelmed at the response—and excited about what comes next.”

As Dear San Francisco celebrates five years at Club Fugazi, the milestone also shines a spotlight on The 7 Fingers, the acclaimed contemporary circus company whose own story began in San Francisco nearly 25 years ago.

The 7 Fingers came together in San Francisco in 2002 and was officially founded in Montreal later that year. Since then, the company has become one of the world’s leading contemporary circus companies, known for combining acrobatics, dance, theatre, and music with intimate, character-driven storytelling.

Named for its seven founders, The 7 Fingers has spent more than two decades creating and touring original productions around the world, while also bringing its work to Broadway, film, and immersive entertainment. At the center of the company’s work is a desire to reveal “the human within the superhuman,” placing the personalities and stories of its performers alongside extraordinary physical feats.

The company’s work includes the internationally acclaimed Traces and the Franco-Québécois jukebox musical Pub Royal, featuring the music of Les Cowboys Fringants. The 7 Fingers has also created work for New York immersive productions including Queen of the Night and Masquerade, as well as Broadway productions including Pippin and Water for Elephants. The company also continues to develop new work around the world, including Heredis: Echoes of the Past, a live show with Assassin’s Creed , and Attic, a new original touring production.
