Four-time Paralympian Jarryd Wallace is training for a fifth Paralympic Games after a long struggle with chronic pain that nearly derailed his road to LA28

SALT LAKE CITY, UT, UNITED STATES, September 17, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Paralympic track and field athlete Jarryd Wallace is preparing for the LA28 Paralympic Games, two years out from what could be his fifth Paralympic appearance — this time on home soil.

Wallace, a Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024 bronze medalist, four-time Paralympian, three-time World Champion and four-time world record holder, is available for interviews about his path back to elite competition.

The road to LA28 has not been easy. After an 18-month bout of persistent Achilles tendinopathy, Wallace took four months away from training in hopes that rest would resolve the pain. Instead, it returned, taking a significant toll on him and leaving him questioning whether he could continue competing at the same level.

After trying treatment after treatment, Wallace eventually found footwear that gave him the support and relief he had been searching for, allowing him to return to training. Now, the goal is not simply to run pain-free–it’s to make it to LA28.

“Being in chronic pain for so long, I started to question if the pain had just been there my whole life,” Wallace said. “KURU Footwear helped me realize that being pain-free was possible again.”

With two years remaining before the 2028 Games, Wallace is back in training and working toward a fifth Paralympic appearance.

Wallace is available to discuss:
– His 18-month battle with Achilles tendinopathy and the toll of chronic pain
– What athletes do to prepare for a Paralympic Games two years out
– His road back to elite competition and goals for LA28
– The role footwear and foot support can play in training and recovery
