VONDER Launches Intelligent Eyewear Built as Eyewear First: Made for Your Eyes, Your Mind, and Your Privacy
PR Newswire
SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 22, 2026
SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ — VONDER today unveiled its debut collection of intelligent eyewear — six acetate frames designed first and foremost as exceptional everyday glasses: made to the wearer’s prescription, weighing under 30 grams, with no camera and no display.

Founded in Silicon Valley by the co-founders of VITURE — the No. 1 XR glasses brand in the U.S. by shipments, according to IDC — VONDER is built to look and feel like nothing more than a great pair of glasses, while quietly becoming more useful and personal over time. Designed to be worn from morning to night, its intelligence stays out of the way until the wearer asks for it, with privacy at the center.
The launch also introduces Guillaume Hamon as VONDER’s Co-Founder and Chief Brand Officer. Having helped trailblaze category-defining brands including Rivian and Oura Ring, Hamon brings a rare understanding of how advanced technology becomes desirable, emotional, and culturally relevant, a vision he now brings to VONDER.
Pre-orders open September 28 at 6:00 a.m. PT on VONDER.ai and BestBuy.com, with pricing starting at $299 and orders shipping beginning in November. VONDER will be available through Best Buy from launch, making it one of only two AI smart glasses brands sold through the country’s largest national electronics retailer at launch.
VONDER will make its first public appearance at SILMO Paris, September 25–28, Hall 7, Stand H148.
Eyewear First, Intelligence Second
For five years, VITURE has built display glasses and grown into the category’s leading brand in North America. Along the way, the team learned something that became the starting point for VONDER: people will forgive a lot for a great display. They forgive nothing for a bad pair of glasses.
Display glasses are worn for sessions. The pair someone puts on in the morning, wears to dinner, and keeps on throughout the day — with their own prescription lenses — is a fundamentally different product, built by different rules.
So the founders didn’t build another model. They built a new brand.
VONDER is eyewear first. Six frame shapes. Three colorways. Acetate construction. Under 30 grams. Full prescription compatibility, from single vision and progressive to Transitions® and gradient tint lenses. Designed to move seamlessly from indoors to out, VONDER starts with a simple standard: it has to be a pair of glasses you genuinely want to wear every day.
Only then was intelligence added — and it had to earn its place, too. No camera. No display. Nothing constantly competing for the wearer’s attention.
“Today we spend half our time explaining ourselves to AI. What if it already knew?” said Emily Wang, Co-Founder of VONDER. “The future of eyewear is not to replicate the phone. It is yours from the beginning: your style, your vision, your memory, and it helps you stay present and connected to the world around you.”
Your AI, Intelligence That Works for You
At the center of that intelligence is the VONDER Personal Memory Graph — a living map shaped by the wearer’s own notes, conversations, and recurring context. Instead of starting from zero every time, VONDER becomes more personal and useful the longer it is worn, helping surface patterns, recall what matters, and search or ask about past memories naturally.
That context powers personalized insights, voice notes and reminders, hands-free music and calls, and context-aware AI that connects with leading models including ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini — or VONDER AI, a hybrid mode that intelligently combines the strengths of multiple leading models to deliver faster, smarter responses without requiring multiple subscriptions.
“Your choices and conversations shape your life,” said Hamon. “We help you see the patterns.”
Privacy as a Hardware Guarantee, Not a Software Promise
Your voice only, by default.
VONDER has no camera, no display, and no always-on recorder. Nothing is captured until the wearer chooses to capture it — and in everyday use, VONDER is designed to recognize the wearer’s voice while discarding other voices on-device.
What VONDER keeps is text, not audio. The wearer’s words are converted into personal memories — a thought, a name, something said in a meeting months ago — while the original audio is deleted. No voiceprints or biometric data are retained. Every memory can be traced to its source, reviewed in the VONDER app, deleted individually, or erased entirely.
Meeting mode captures the room, only with permission.
When the wearer intentionally wants to capture a conversation, lecture, or meeting, Meeting Mode must be explicitly activated, with a visible indicator letting everyone nearby know it is active. A physical control on the temple can immediately take everything off the record.
All data is protected with financial-grade encryption, and VONDER does not sell advertising or user data.
“Taking the camera out was the easy half,” said Wang. “The harder question was the microphone: whose voice gets in, and when? We built VONDER to hear you when you ask, remember your words, and leave everyone else out of it.”

VONDER arrives as AI wearables make the leap from technology you try to eyewear you live in. Its belief is simple: the future of intelligent eyewear shouldn’t look or feel like technology at all.
